A Winter Wedding to Remember
Rachel and Jonathan’s winter wedding at Laurel Ridge Country Club was straight out of a Hallmark Movie! The exposed wood and picturesque mountain backdrop was the perfect fit for their 1950s mountain lodge theme. Rachel’s attention to detail and trust in Kathryn Rose Event Company‘s planning process made their four month planning period a breeze.
Originally being from Michigan, Rachel wanted to incorporate some northern touches into their wedding while keeping the southern flair. Waynesville Soda Jerks delivered delicious soda pops that were a total hit with their guests. For favors, guests took home chocolate bars from Mast General Store.
Let Love Fly
While Rachel worked on planning their special day, Jonathan was assisting her from afar for a few weeks while in Texas at a training for work. Since Jonathan is a Pilot and flying is a big part of their lives, they definitely wanted to incorporate aviation into their design without straying too far from their original ski lodge wedding theme.
Their place settings included vintage luggage tags as escort cards and ivory napkins folded into airplanes. On their welcome table guests found an atlas guest book as well as a vintage suitcase for cards and gifts. As Rachel and Jonathan recessed out of their ceremony, their guests “let love fly” by tossing their ceremony programs that doubled as paper planes into the air.
Rachel and Jonathan were a joy to work with from start to finish. Their positive, realistic attitudes and contagious smiles made for a lovely planning process and even better wedding day. We’ll be swooning over their romantic winter wedding for years to come!
