Joe and Marge showcased their love of the outdoors by having a Smoky Mountain elopement surrounded by their closest friends and family. Their after ceremony photos taken by Lily Hannah Photography on the Blue Ridge Parkway are dreamy, romantic, and capture their love perfectly.
A Standing Ceremony
Modern couples are opting for ceremonies that last between ten and twenty minutes. One of the upsides to a quick ceremony is you have more location options. Joe and Marge chose to have their smoky mountain elopement just off of the blue ridge parkway in a field with a picturesque mountain backdrop. Their guests remained standing for the duration of their ceremony which allowed everyone to see the couple say “I do” without their vision being obstructed.
Asheville Brewery Reception
A few hours after their midday ceremony, the guests met at Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, North Carolina for an evening of laughing, eating, and dancing. Highland Brewing Company has multiple event spaces onsite and Joe and Marge chose to have their reception in the Barrel Room. The high ceilings and skylights in the event space opened the room up and made the event feel open and airy while still allowing their wedding to feel cozy and romantic.
Unique Favors
Upon arrival, Kathryn Rose Event Company began unboxing and sorting Joe and Marge’s decor. We were so excited to see that the couple chose house plants as favors for their table decor and favors. Live plant decor is an amazing way to cut down on waste at your wedding while bringing color and vibrance to your design scheme. At the end of the evening Joe and Marge’s guests were excited to take home a new plant baby to liven up their abodes.
